Today is World Cancer Research Day – a reminder that every breakthrough begins with research.

For kids with cancer, research means more effective treatments, fewer long-term side effects, and more chances to grow up, dream big, and simply be kids. 🙏

Because of you, St. Baldrick’s has funded more than $380 million in research grants since 2005 to help fuel more research breakthroughs. 💚

When Jackson was just 5 years old, he was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma after doctors discovered a tumor on his left fibula. 💔

Over the next eight months, Jackson underwent 14 cycles of intensive chemotherapy, surgery, and spent 69 nights in the hospital. On April 22, 2024, he rang the bell, marking the end of treatment. Today, Jackson is celebrating two years cancer-free and enjoying life as an active 9-year-old. 💚

Inspired by Jackson’s strength and their firsthand experience with the urgent need for new treatment options, his family created JC Strong, a St. Baldrick’s Hero Fund dedicated to advancing research for children facing Ewing sarcoma. 🙏

We’re proud to share that JC Strong is helping support a $110,000 St. Baldrick’s research grant to Dr. Shireen Ganapathi at Seattle Children's. Her research will explore whether a new treatment approach could help improve outcomes for children and young adults whose Ewing sarcoma has returned or does not respond to current treatments.

“Getting to help fund relapse research is what I dreamed of while laying in the hospital with Jackson,” says his mom, Martine. “Changing the future for Ewing’s patients is the good that came out of the hardest thing our family has faced.”

Since its creation in 2025, JC Strong has raised more than $108,000 to help support research and bring hope to children and families facing Ewing sarcoma.

💛 One hundred wishes were granted. But the greatest wish is still ahead of us: cures for all childhood cancers.

Millions are watching MrBeast's latest video, I Granted 100 Kids Their Biggest Wish, including St. Baldrick's Honored Kid Andrew, whose story is helping shine a global spotlight on the need for childhood cancer research.

Diagnosed with leukemia at just 4 years old, Andrew endured 2½ years of treatment. 💪 Today, he's a cancer survivor, but like so many kids, he still lives with the long-term effects of those treatments. 💔

That's why St. Baldrick's is joining forces with Stand Up To Cancer and Beast Philanthropy to help fund the next SU2C Pediatric Cancer Dream Team. Together, we're working toward better treatments and, ultimately, cures.
