The tropp enjoyed smores and fire building skills Friday night after setting up camps followed by a movie.

For dinner the Troop cooked dinner - Spaghetti and meatballs with Garlic bread for the parents. The day finished up with evening colors.

Thanks to the Scouts and Adult volunteers of Scouting America Troop 61, Corning NY for supporting Field of Flags: in Corning on Memorial day.
Field of Flags is a sea of red, white, and blue flags honoring the bravery and sacrifice of our local heroes. Each flag represents a story, a family, and a hero who answered the call to serve. Thank you to the men and women of our hometown who have given so much to protect our freedom.

On December 17th 2025 Scouting America Troop 61, Corning NY held our Holiday Party! Thanks to all teh Scouts and adults that participated!

A gingerbread house competition for Scouts is more than just confectionery construction - it is an exercise in engineering resilience, creative problem-solving, and collaborative troop morale, where the greatest challenge is ensuring structural integrity before the house becomes a deliciouosly sweet snack! The true mark of a Scout isn't just in the knot-tying, but in the ability to construct a stable, edible dwelling using only graham crackers, royal icing, and the foundational principles of Scouting's preparedness motto - Be Prepared!
