Rancho Tehama Community Foundation Building a strong sense of community by facilitating social interaction.

We are part of the community of Rancho Tehama, a Home Owners Association in Northern California. Our long term goal is to acquire land to build an Emergency Evacuation Center/Youth Center/Community Center within our community.

Internet Problems? Geographical Information Center is here to help. They met with RT Officials yesterday and are working to improve Internet Connectivity throughout the North State. This is INDEPENDENT of all providers. Please read about what you can do to help. First step (beyond reading about it) is go to the website https://necalbroadband.org, click the green Get Calspeed button and download the appropriate app. Take the survey (https://gicwebsrv.csuchico.edu/websites/obbs/prod/). If you have questions click the CONTACT link top right of their webpage. You can also "Like" their FB page and direct questions their and stay up to date on the project. https://www.facebook.com/NorcalBroadband/

It is for BOTH cats and dogs – however, no dog or cat under 4 months of age, over 8 years old, or with regard to the dogs, nothing over 80 pounds.

In addition, you must meet low income requirements:

Medicaid/Medi-Cal

Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

CalFresh/SNAP (Food Stamps)

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

Or some other valid ID

Peninsula Humane Society will offer free spay or neuter to pets of low income Tehama County residents Sept. 28 through Oct. 1. The clinic will be in Rancho Tehama on Sept. 28 and 29. On Sept. 30, the clinic will be held at the Tehama County Animal Care Center in Red Bluff, and on Oct. 1, the clinic will be in Los Molinos.

Interested persons must call or come in to the Animal Care Center, starting Wednesday. Surgery spots will be available on a first come, first served basis, and space must be reserved in person at the center.

The Tehama County Animal Care Center is at 1830 Walnut St. in Red Bluff. Care Center hours are 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. Saturday. Adoption hours are 10 a.m. to noon and 1-4:30 p.m.
