UPDATE: Jack underwent mast cell tumor removal today and is now home. The incision is bigger than anticipated, and now we wait for lab results before he's considered cancer-free. The cost of today's procedure was $1,430. So far we've raised $680. I'm hoping to raise a bit more to cover the cost of surgery and the follow-up appointment to remove stitches.

Anything helps! If you can't donate, please share!

He wasn’t always the happy, safe boy you see today.

When Jesse (now ‘Jack’) first arrived in foster care with Amie Burnett, his body told a story no animal should have to live through. His nails painfully curled, his weight so severe he could barely take a few steps, his spirit dimmed but not gone. He was uncomfortable, struggling, and in desperate need of someone to care.

And then.. someone did.

With patience, consistency, and a whole lot of love, Amie helped Jack heal. Little by little, step by step, he transformed.. losing the weight, regaining his mobility, and finally feeling what it’s like to be comfortable in his own body again.

Then came his second chance.

Jack was adopted by the kindest couple.. people who, despite living on a fixed income, give their time back to the community without hesitation. They didn’t see an “old dog with issues”.. they saw Jack. And they chose him.

But just weeks into his new life, another hurdle appeared.

A lump was discovered.

Now Jack needs surgery so he can continue to enjoy the life he fought so hard to get.. the soft place to land, the warmth of a home, the people who love him.

His adopters didn’t ask for help. Not once.

But sometimes, doing the right thing means showing up anyway.

Senior dogs like Jack don’t always get second chances. And people willing to open their hearts and homes to them? They are rare, selfless, and incredibly special.

Now it’s our turn to give back.

If you’re able, please consider donating or sharing this post. Every bit helps ease the burden and shows this wonderful couple just how much their compassion means.

Let’s come together to make sure Jack’s story continues.. with comfort, care, and the love he finally found.

Thank you ❤️

🚨 FOUND IN A DITCH WITH A BROKEN LEG… AND STILL WAGGING HIS TAIL 🚨

Meet Dodger.

He was found in a ditch in Watkins Glen, NY with a broken leg… but somehow this sweet boy is still the happiest, most loving dog you could meet. 🐾

Dodger is friendly, playful, and full of love, but right now he needs something very important to heal…

A quiet home and a comfy couch.

The problem?
Dodger doesn’t realize he’s injured. His happy, playful personality makes it hard for him to stay still, so he needs a calm home where someone can help him rest and recover.

Southern Tier Dog Control is desperately looking for a foster-to-adopt home where Dodger can safely heal and finally know what it feels like to be loved and protected. ❤️

Imagine being left injured in a ditch… and still choosing to trust humans. That’s Dodger.

Can you help give this good boy a safe place to recover?
