In honor of our sister institution Corning Museum of Glass hosting the Glass Art Society conference this week, we’re pleased to share these insights into the creation of “True Gravity,” – a site-specific neon sculpture at The Rockwell Museum. Neon artists Meryl Pataky and Kelsey Issel bend glass to its limits in this year’s edition of Antigravity. Working within tensions of hard and soft, control and happenstance, and isolation and interdependence, Pataky and Issel’s deeply collaborative work invites the viewer to rethink the potential of glass and light.
See this installation at The Rockwell Museum in Corning, NY now through March 2027.
GAS conference participants are welcome at The Rockwell for FREE all week – simply show your GlassPass or conference badge at The Rockwell admission desk.
