💙 Two Teams. One Community. One Amazing Morning. 💙

What a special morning at the Wineglass Marathon today! Our STAQ swimmers and C-PP Girls Varsity Swim & Dive came together at the Mile 10 water station to cheer on runners, lend a helping hand, and give back to the community we’re so proud to call home. 🏃‍♀️💦👏

This morning was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when we come together for a common purpose. The varsity girls from C-PP Swim & Dive and our STAQ swimmers brought so much energy, encouragement, and enthusiasm to every runner who passed by. ❤️

From handing out water to shouting words of encouragement, they made a difference—and had a whole lot of fun doing it!

Two teams, one community, and a whole lot of heart. 💙💛

🏊‍♂️🌟 WELCOME TO THE TEAM, COACH SHOONHSIN! 🌟🏊‍♂️

We’re thrilled to introduce Coach Shoonhsin, our newest swim coach! 🎉

Shoonhsin’s love for swimming started as an age-group swimmer in the Niagara LSC and continued through his time on the Horseheads High School varsity team. He made five appearances at the NYSPHSAA State Championships and was part of a 200 Medley Relay team that set a school record! 🏆

After graduating in 2019, Shoonhsin continued his swimming career at the California Institute of Technology, competing at the NCAA Division III level. While at Caltech, he earned CSCAA Scholar All-America Honorable Mention honors and brought home bronze in the 200-yard butterfly at his conference championships. 🥉🦋

But Shoonhsin’s experience goes far beyond his own swimming career! He has taught swimmers through Special Olympics, worked with developing swimmers through YMCA programming, and coached aspiring competitive swimmers through one-on-one sessions. We’re excited to have someone who brings both competitive experience and a passion for helping swimmers grow! 💙

And when he’s not on the pool deck, Shoonhsin works as a Scientist at Corning Incorporated in the Organic Materials directorate. 🔬

Please join us in giving Coach Shoonhsin a big, splashy welcome! 🌊👏 We can’t wait to see the energy, experience, and enthusiasm he brings to the team!
