Over the last 10 days, 27 Scouts & 14 Leaders from Troop 273 completed a wild western adventure of epic proportions!

✅ 4 States: Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, & Montana

🏕️ Camped 1 Night in Grand Tetons National P.
🥾 Hiked 3 Miles on Taggart Lake Trail
🥾Hiked 6 Miles at Jenny Lake to Inspiration
Point
🏕️- Spent 2 nights camping in Yellowstone
⛰️ Hike 6 miles to Summit Mt Washburn at 10,200 ft
👀- Viewed the Grand Prismatic, West Thumb Geyser, Norris Geyser Basin, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Mammoth Hotsprings, Roosevelt Arch, Firehole River and Old Faithful.

🍽️- Had Dinner in downtown Jackson Hole
🍽️- Had Dinner at the Historic Irma Hotel

👀- Bear 🐻 Bison 🦬 wolf 🐺 Moose 🫎 and many more critters

🔫- Watched a Wild West Gun Fight in the streets of Cody.
🐂- Attended The Cody Night Rodeo

🏕️- Camped 7 days at Camp Buffalo Bill Scout Camp
🏆- Awarded the Troop with the most spirit.
👩‍🍳👨‍🍳- Adult Leaders placed 1st in Dutch oven contest.
🎖️-Earned over 100 Merit Badges.

🛖- Stayed overnight in Garden City, Utah and drank Rasberry milkshakes
🏊‍♂️ Cooled off by swimming in Bear Lake.

Many memories were made and friendships were forever forged! For some this was their last summer adventure & a closure to a fond chapter of their lives, while others found the taste for exploring and a continued path in scouting!
Adventure is calling and we must answer! Where will we go Next???

We stayed over night in Teton National Park yesterday and got up super early this morning for a day of hiking. 2 of our groups hiked Taggart Lake and 1 group did Jenny Lake to inspiration point. We have arrived in Yellowstone this afternoon for 2 more days of camping before we get to summer camp!

We spent the weekend camping, riding horses and working on the horsemanship merit badge. Some of of our scouts loved it so much the spent the day working in and around the barn. Double J Stables staff were so supportive of helping our scouts in having a great experience!
