Soup kitchens are considered a charity, which makes it considerably easier for the soup kitchen to feed a large number of people… it is believed the term “breadline” was coined in the 1880’s when a noteworthy bakery in New York City’s Greenwich Village, “Fleischmann Model Viennese Bakery”, instituted a policy of distributing unsold baked goods to the poor at the end of the business day… The concept of soup kitchens hit the mainstream of the United States during the Great Depression... Once again, we find ourselves in a depressed economic environment when soup kitchens are desperately needed...

Chick-fil-A Cornelia is helping out with channeling their inner Taylor! Bring your canned goods to the theatre when you come and see The Eras Tour and we will give coupons for each canned good (limit 2 coupons). We will be donating the canned goods to The Lord's Help Soup Kitchen (Cornelia Soup Kitchen)!!

We will be collecting canned goods this weekend during the opening of The Eras Tour only, so make sure you come out and show your inner Taylor!!

Today, August 13, marks 10 years since we opened Midtown Grill!

When we started, we were both single, fairly young, and very inexperienced at running a business. Now we are both married with two children each, no longer feel young at all, and are still learning how to run a business.

We would like to thank all of our customers, families, and friends who have supported us over the past decade. It has been a great 10 years, and we are looking forward to the next 10 with all of you!

For the remainder of August, we will offer a Birthday Cake milkshake and two Burger of the Month meals (named for each of our hometowns) for $10 each.

For each of these burgers sold, we will donate 10% to the Cornelia Soup Kitchen— The Lord's Help Soup Kitchen

The Clermont Burger is topped with two slices of American cheese, grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, slaw, and ketchup.

The Cleveland Burger is topped with Swiss cheese, bacon, ranch, A1, and jalapeños.

Thank you, Ms. Sydney Conley and the South Habersham Middle FFA, for hosting a food drive!! South Habersham Middle School donated over 500 items to the soup kitchen and several FFA students helped to sort and put the canned goods away. Thank you so much!!! 🤗

We are so thankful for Ben Brooks’ faithful service at the Lord’s Help Soup Kitchen over the last 10 years. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends as we mourn his passing.

The soup kitchen was a ministry close to Ben’s heart. He was a very big part of our Soup Kitchen working and helping things run smoothly. He will be greatly missed. We want to honor his memory by accepting donations towards the purchase of a new ice-maker. We will collect donations through October. A plaque will be purchased that will say the ice machine was donated in his memory.
