Freedom has never been free.

This Memorial Day, Spirit of a Hero honors the brave men and women who gave everything for this country.

Their sacrifice is woven into every flag raised, every family gathering, and every moment of freedom we experience today.

We remember the Heroes who never made it home โ€” and we stand beside the families, friends, and brothers and sisters in service who carry their memory forward each day.

At Spirit of a Hero, their courage reminds us why service matters, why community matters, and why honoring others must always come first.

Today, we remember.
Today, we honor.
Today, we thank the fallen. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

As Memorial Day approaches, we are reminded that freedom comes at a cost โ€” and that behind every flag is a Hero who gave everything for others. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Thank you to everyone who joined Spirit of a Hero for our Memorial Walk and Fire Station Open House with Denton County Emergency Services District No. 1 & 2. Your support, presence, and participation helped create a day centered on remembrance, gratitude, and honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

From families walking together in memory of loved ones, to children meeting the firefighters who continue to serve our communities today, every moment reflected the true meaning of Memorial Day: remembering the fallen and keeping their legacy alive.

We are grateful to our Veterans, First Responders, volunteers, sponsors, and community members who helped make this event possible. Most importantly, we honor the Heroes we will never forget.

May we all take time this Memorial Day to remember those who never made it home.

Behind every folded flag is a story that was never finished.

Memorial Day reminds us that freedom has always carried a cost paid by ordinary people who chose courage over comfort.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Why do you walk? ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

We are a little over TWO WEEKS AWAY from the 2026 Memorial Walk and Fire Station Open House on Saturday, May 16, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Memorial Day is a time to remember and honor the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our country. It is a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made to protect our freedoms, and an opportunity for our community to come together in gratitude and reflection.

The Memorial Walk is approximately five miles and will begin and end at Station 511. Participants are encouraged to walk in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice and to reflect on the true meaning of the day.

Please register in advance here:
https://MemorialWalkandFireStationOpenHouse.eventbrite.com

First responders and veterans are encouraged to wear their full fire, police, or armed forces gear during the walk as a visible tribute to those who have served and sacrificed.

Following the walk, refreshments and family-friendly activities will be available at Station 511 beginning at 10:00 AM.

We encourage you to invite your friends, family, and neighbors to join us for this meaningful and community-centered event as we come together to honor, remember, and support one another.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Thereโ€™s something powerful about a simple mealโ€ฆ especially when it gives back. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโค๏ธ

In Argyle, Earl and Isabella's Taverna isnโ€™t just serving incredible handcrafted Italian foodโ€”theyโ€™re serving purpose. From wood-fired pizzas and housemade pastas to that warm, welcoming atmosphere we all love, theyโ€™ve built something truly special in our community.

But what makes it even more meaningful? Every time you order select items like the โ€œSpirit of a Heroโ€ dishesโ€”like their SOAH Chicken Parmโ€”a portion of the proceeds goes directly to supporting veterans and first responders through Spirit of a Hero.

This isnโ€™t new for them either. Their long-standing partnership has helped turn everyday meals into real impact for veterans right here in North Texasโ€”because supporting those who served should always be part of the mission.

So hereโ€™s your call to action:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Grab dinner from Earl & Isabellaโ€™s this week
๐Ÿ‘‰ Try a Spirit of a Hero item
๐Ÿ‘‰ Share this post and spread the word
Because when you eat localโ€ฆ and give backโ€ฆ you become part of something bigger.

Did you know that our building was made in the '70s and used to serve as the home for the Argyle Volunteer Fire Department? We're honored to work in this building day in, day out.

Station 511 is just down the street off 407 now and continues to provide emergency services for the Argyle community.
