The Mississippi Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs represents 18 Boys & Girls Club corporations across the state and advocates on behalf of the Clubs and the kids they serve. Who We Are:

• A separate 501(c)4 non-profit corporation (think of it as a “trade association” of Boys & Girls Clubs in the state);

• Unites the independently operating Boys & Girls Clubs in the state of Mississippi;

• Pro

vides a mechanism for joint decision making, communication, exchange of ideas, and cooperative action among Clubs in the state of Mississippi;

• Promotes public awareness of youth development and challenges facing today’s youth;

• Promotes and strengthens Boys & Girls Clubs relationships with public and private agencies throughout the state;

• Provides as a means for distribution of state funding to the member Clubs, and serves as a liaison between the Clubs and state government.

"Safety is our number one priority and Boys & Girls Clubs across the country and in Mississippi are handling Covid-19 pandemic differently.

Currently, most Clubs in Mississippi are temporarily closed and working on strategic plans of how to best serve our children and families over the next few weeks; some are open and serving youth on a reduced scale; some are distributing food/meals in their communities; some are using technology to continue to connect with youth to provide virtual programming and tutoring; some have staff deep cleaning facilities and engaged in training; and some are having staff participating in training via webinars.

This situation has rapidly occurred, and we anticipate more changes during this unprecedented time. Boys & Girls Clubs believe that relationships with positive adults can change the direction of a child's life, and Club staff are seeking to find new, innovative ways to continue to form and build relationships that support youth with what they need now.
