Healthy Corinth Coalition The Healthy Corinth Coalition (Healthy Corinth) was started in 2019 by the Saratoga County Department of Health (DOH).

The Healthy Corinth Coalition’s purpose is to address health disparities affecting the Corinth population, to improve the health and well-being of residents, and empower them to be proactive in identifying and removing barriers to good health. The original purpose of Healthy Corinth was to address health disparities affecting the Corinth population (both Town and Village), specifically childhood o

besity and substance abuse. These two high risk/high needs areas were identified in the 2019 Capital Region Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). In 2022, Saratoga County DOH transferred leadership over to elected community members and thought leaders who continue to run Healthy Corinth with the goals to reduce substance misuse, promote healthy activities, and to make available the necessary resources to support a healthy and growing Corinth. Mission Accomplished: 4th Annual Corinth Cleanup Day!

Here is a quick look at what we achieved together:

75 Volunteers: A huge turnout of dedicated folks who gave up their Sunday to make a difference.

210 Bags of Trash: We successfully cleared a massive amount of litter from the roadsides throughout both the Village and Town of Corinth.

Community Spirit: From local families to students, the energy was high and the impact was even higher!

🌟 Special Shoutouts

A massive thank you to the National Junior Honor Society for showing up in full force. It’s inspiring to see our youth taking such pride in their hometown!

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Saratoga Regional YMCA and Biscuit's Bakery for your donations. Thank you to the Corinth Barn for hosting us. And special shout out to Robin Schumacher for creating such beautiful pre- and post- event signs for the big day!

📣 FREE SUMMER PROGRAM! 📣

Hey, friends! We're excited to announce the Lift Off! program & summer promotion for our local students moving into high school.

This 8-week exercise program will teach the basics, and gradually move to more advanced lifting techniques. We'll focus on safety, muscle groups, and how to get the most out of each lift.

The program will have its first session on June 30th at 11am, and will repeat every Monday and Friday through August 22nd. Can't make it to every session? No problem! We will work with you.

This free virtual event will provide attendees with more information about what a Bike Bus is and how to start one in your community.

A Bike Bus is a fun and exciting way for kids to ride their bikes to school together. Students follow a designated route, picking up classmates along the way—similar to how a school bus operates, but on bikes. Adult volunteers help lead the group and ensure everyone's safety.

This is a webinar with bike bus leaders for New Yorkers interested in learning more about creating bike buses in their own communities.
