Village of HOPE INC Village of Hope is a village within a village. The VOH is a sanctuary for support, education and equipping to break the cycle of poverty and abuse.

This primary school, rescue center for girls who have experienced abuse, vocational training center, and medical care facility will give hope to children, women, and those with a desire to create change. The Village of Hope is an innovative educational and vocational training center for the children in Gwassi Village. Although we provide services to children of all ages, our emphasis is assisting young girls in danger of sexual and physical abuse.

At Village of Hope, PP2 graduation is more than a ceremony, it is living proof of what love looks like when a whole community refuses to give up on its children. Parents who sacrifice quietly, teachers who believe fiercely, and young learners who dare to dream.

In these rural hills, education is not just a lesson it is hope made visible. It levels the ground for children who start with less, and whispers to every young soul: You matter. Your tomorrow can be brighter than your yesterday.

To every parent, every teacher, every child who walked this path, thank you. You have planted something beautiful. May it grow into a lifetime of possibility.

It’s picture day at VOH! We are nearing the end of the school year and we are gearing up to send all of you, our supporters, a holiday greeting from all of us here at VOH, including from your kiddos. We had the privilege of hosting parents from our community whose children are living with sickle cell disease for a special awareness session facilitated by our clinic nurse, Irene.
It was a practical gathering focused on:
• How to best care for and support our vulnerable children
• Shared experiences on proper feeding and nutrition
• Setting positive, futuristic goals for the children and families.

Parents openly shared their journeys, challenges, and successes while our nurse offered valuable guidance on daily care, management, and hope for the future.
The seating was one of support, learning, and encouragement.

We are grateful to every parent who attended.

Today was day one of the zonal sports competitions. It was a packed day for ball games like Handball, Netball, and Football (Soccer) for all area schools to compete against each other. Our presence has been felt both on the pitch and on the sidelines. Students and staff cheered the players on and we were competitive in all the games we played. We are so proud of our kids!

Village of Hope is so much more than just what’s inside our fenced border.

Last week we had the opportunity to bless our local moms and grandmas who sell items, until well after dark, at a local market that just neighbors us. These hardworking mamas inspire us everyday with the way they sacrifice and provide for their families, many whom have children or grandchildren who attend VOH.

We are so grateful to be a part of this community and to be able to serve them in any way we can.

We are a few weeks into our second term here at VOH and things are moving like a well oiled machine! All our school staff are hopeful and expectant of a smooth and successful term!

This is what happens when we have visitors return - they become family and pour their skills, time, and energy into our students. Creating an enrichment camp during the school holiday, this small but mighty team from NY taught pickleball, sewing, and team building activities. We are so thankful!! Stay tuned…part 2 to come!
