InVested

InVested To empower and inspire our youth through meaningful community mentorships.

05/07/2025

We're thrilled to introduce InVested, a new organization dedicated to empowering our youth through mentorship!

Here's what InVested is all about and how it will work:

We're building a team of amazing volunteers to guide Corinth's young people. We'll recruit, screen, train, and manage them to provide the best support possible.

Our programs will be tailored specifically to each mentee's interests, needs, age, and goals, covering crucial areas like:

🎯 Goal setting
📚 Academic growth
🛠️ Life skills
🤝 Community involvement & history
❤️ Emotional support
🚀 Leadership development
🎓 College prep & exploring trades/technical careers!

The coolest part? Every program is centered around a unique community initiative project! Our youth, with their mentors, will work on projects that benefit Corinth in a way that's meaningful to them. It's a fantastic way for our community to support our youth, and for our youth to give back!

Our ultimate goal is simple: to grow community pride, respect, and involvement in our youth, while preparing them for a successful future right here in Corinth.

We truly believe that if supported by the community, InVested will have a powerful positive influence on the futures of our young people.

Stay tuned! We'll be releasing example programs tomorrow that will give you an even clearer picture of the vision! ✨

What’s wrong with kids today?
What can be done to fix it?
Who is going to step up?

These are the questions I am hearing more and more of in Corinth.

Over 2 years ago I stepped back from my role as an active owner of Vested Veteran Grill and started planning something new and drastically needed in Corinth, InVested.

I have the experience, knowledge, passion and desire to make a lasting impact on Corinth’s youth and I have been carefully crafting InVested to be able to step up if needed.

I’ve been in the background patiently waiting for others to step up and take the lead when it comes to community youth development. Allow me to make a bold and clear statement here. No amount of complaining on social media or pointing fingers will solve the issues we are seeing in our community today. Are there bad parenting behaviors? Yes. Should parents be held accountable for the actions of their children? Probably. I’m not disagreeing with any of that, but someone needs to stand up and actually do something about it.

I am standing up today and saying, the failure of our community to provide our youth with the passion to dream… the knowledge to succeed… and the tools to accomplish their goals, that ends today!

Everything we have been seeing on social media about our town was avoidable if we had just acted a little sooner. I will be the first to take accountability for that. I know exactly what needs to be done to bridge the growing gap between our youth and the community and I should have acted faster. I’m sorry that I waited and I will do better starting now. I promise you Corinth that I am going to fight hard every day to lift our youth back up onto their feet and prepare them to run with confidence into a respectable future.

The question is, who among us is willing to stand up with me?
