Story of the play
It is 6 PM, the Douglas family is busily preparing for their annual Christmas Eve dinner. After robbing a neighborhood liquor store, high strung and irritable Tony, and his dim-witted side-kick Vinny, find themselves in need of a hide-out. This play is a comic treasure that is sure to leave you in stitches while celebrating the true meaning of Christmas. Produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

Levi Stewart Community Theater Presents “A DOUBLEWIDE, TEXAS CHRISTMAS” by Jones Hope Wooten. Friday December 5 at 7 PM, Saturday Dec. 6 at 2 PM and 7 PM, Sunday Dec. 7 at 2 PM. Produced by Special Arrangement with Dramatists Play Service. Admission By Donation at the Door at the Stewart Library Building, Corinna.

THE STORY OF THE PLAY
It’s Christmas-time in the newest—and tiniest—town in Texas. The trailer park residents have discovered that Doublewide is being double-crossed by the County. With their official incorporation papers in jeopardy, this band of eccentric Texans throw themselves into taking on the "Big Guys."

In addition to trying almost single-handedly to keep the new town afloat, Mayor Joveeta Crumpler has to wrangle her celebrity-obsessed mother, her beleaguered brother, and her demoralized best friend who’s at the end of her rope from dating every loser this side of the Rio Grande. To make matters worse, Joveeta finds herself increasingly wary of the newest resident, Patsy Price. Spend the Yuletide in Doublewide because there’s no place like a good ol’ Texas-sized mobile home for the holidays!

We are excited to announce that Levi Stewart Community Theater has been selected as a nonprofit partner in the Hannaford Community Bag Program. LSCT will receive $1 for each $2.50 reusable Community Bag sold during the month of December 2025 at the Hannaford Store in Newport.

LSCT also congratulates another one of our theater kids Owen Bell-Snowman for his award at Lakewood for featured actor in a musical. Way to go Owen. He delivered a great performance.
