Are you burning to ask questions you have been told you can't ask? Do you crave insightful conversations that focus on the human experience? Are you wanting to discuss topics in science, society, ethics, and the environment? Do you live in the Mid-South and wish to connect with other open-minded individuals? The Muddy Waters Freethought Society is composed of individuals who focus on what it means to be human. This organization is a beacon for those who want to promote the advancement of education and science. We aim to do so by the following:
• provide support and fellowship to freethinkers, atheists, agnostics, and secular humanists in the Mid-South
• promote free speech and the exchange of ideas
• promote a forum for educational films, talks, and lectures
• defend the separation of Church and State as upheld by the Constitution
• defend the teaching of scientific theories over non-scientific theories in public school
• eliminate prejudice and discrimination
• seek the betterment of society through secular humanism, science, logic, reasoning, and rational philosophical discourse
We come together at the Freethought Book Club to discuss a chosen book. We also invite speakers, view films and do more! Please join us in exploration. https://www.letsthinkfree.org/
