Lion Cliff Nipper invited the Crisp County Election Supervisor Becky Kitchens to present our program. She reported that there are currently 13,950 registered voters in Crisp County. Becky has served our community as election supervisor for 11 years.

Fellow lions 🦁🦁Cliff Nipper and Bobby Stewart 🦁🦁🦁 delivered our program today. They did a synopsis and history of our world famous chicken que 🍗🐓

It was interesting for lions to participate in an inservice outlining our second largest fund raiser

We learned what we do and why we do it … yes it’s evolved over the years but the love 💙💛 that goes into those chickens just gets better and better

The sheriff cleared up some thing that we believe to be illegal or legal based on things we’ve been “told”

It is illegal to drive barefooted ❌
It is LEGAL

The sheriff can arrest you for anything ❌
NOT TRUE

If you don’t see a cop it has to be legal ❌
Just because law enforcement isn’t present doesn’t change the law

Our program chair Beverly Farrow Partain invited Mrs Chanta Starkey to speak today about a program in our community, Girls Prep. This group will meet with middle school girls 6,7 and 8 grade to help develop self confidence and self worth. They will meet every Thursday for 12 weeks beginning September 3.
