Letโs Show Our Gratitude to Those Who Protect and Serve
For 30 years, the Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce has brought our community together to recognize the men and women who stand ready to serve and protect us. On Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 6โ8 p.m., the Chamber will host the 30th Annual Public Safety Appreciation Dinner at the Cordele Lions Club Fairgrounds. We are grateful to South Georgia Banking Company, our presenting sponsor, for helping make this important community tradition possible.
The dinner honors public safety professionals serving Cordele, Crisp County and Arabi, including the Arabi and Cordele Police Departments, Cordele Fire Department, Crisp County EMS, Crisp County Fire & Rescue, Crisp County Sheriffโs Office, 911 Services, and the Georgia State Patrol. These dedicated men and women give their time, courage and energy every day to help keep our families, businesses, and communities safe.
This yearโs dinner carries special significance as our nation marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks. That anniversary reminds us of the extraordinary dedication and selflessness demonstrated by public safety professionals everywhere, and of the sacrifices so many have made in service to others. It is important that we take this opportunity to honor those who serve right here at home.
Help Us Say โThank Youโ
While public safety professionals may be trained to respond in moments of crisis, they also deserve to know that their community sees, appreciates, and values what they do. A simple word of thanks can remind them that their long hours, difficult calls, personal sacrifices, and willingness to step forward when others need help do not go unnoticed.
This year, the Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce is inviting the entire community to share messages of appreciation for our local public safety heroes. These messages will be collected and delivered to our honorees at the Public Safety Appreciation Dinner.
Community members may submit messages directly to the Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce in person between 9 a.m. โ 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or by email at [email protected]. Please submit your message by 5 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2026.
Whether it is a few words, a personal story, or simply a heartfelt โthank you for serving our community,โ we encourage everyone to participate. Letโs make sure the men and women who are always there for us know that we are there for them.
