We want to say a special goodbye to Mrs. Carol Singeltary. She is retiring at the end of this semester. She has been the backbone of JROTC for several years. The cadets got together to give her going away gifts and a special guest (CSM Jackson) came to share his appreciation for all that she does. Thank you for the mints!!!

JROTC Annual Awards banquet is in the books! Our outstanding cadets were honored and celebrated for the hardwork during the school year. All cadets received awards for volunteering, parade participation and LET level. Cadets also received individual awards. Those cadets include Makenzy Powell, Kerzavier Bly, Tamara Johnson and Guillermo Cervantes for the top male/femaile cadets for the Cadet Challenge. Makenzy Powell and Destiny Perry received the Sojourners and the Scottish Right Awards. Lettermen jackets were given to cadets that completed two years in any activity in JROTC. Seniors shared their final thoughts and words of wisdom to the junior cadets. Shinese Jones and Kaylee Pitts were honored with the Army Instructor and Senior Army Instructor Awards.
Special thanks to Mrs. Anna Granville for her continued support of JROTC by attending and providing the beautiful decorations.

An Army Organization day("Org Day") is a scheduled, maditory-fun, or optional unit event desighned to build morale, esprit-de-corps, and comaraderie by stepping away from daily missions. It acts as a break for Soldiers, Civilian Employees, and Families to interact informally through activities like sports, games, and barbeques. The Cougar Battalion held its annual Org Day today and had a blast. Best Company for the event was Alpha Company.
