I want to share an important ministry update with you.
I’m excited to share that Shane Bingham will be stepping into the role of Area Director for the Knox County and Corbin areas.
Shane serves as Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church Barbourville and has faithfully served as a First Priority Campus Coach for the past several years. Through his involvement, Shane has already developed a heart for students, schools, and the mission of First Priority. I am excited to keep this transition internal with someone who already understands and believes deeply in what God is doing through this ministry.
Shane will serve on behalf of me and our Tri-County office to support, encourage, and serve you however needed throughout Knox County and Corbin. His role is to help equip and encourage you as we continue reaching students with the Hope of Christ through First Priority. He will be visiting clubs regularly, building relationships with volunteers and students, and making sure you have the support and resources you need to succeed in ministry.
Please help me welcome Shane into this role! You can contact him anytime at [email protected].
I have also attached a picture so you will recognize him when he visits your school.
Again, thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord through First Priority. We are grateful to serve alongside you as we continue equipping students to reach students with the Hope of Christ.
After much prayer and consideration, Rick Mullenix will be transitioning out of overseeing the Knox County and Corbin areas and will continue serving as Area Director for Laurel and Clay Counties.
Rick has faithfully served our students, schools, and volunteers, and we are incredibly thankful for his leadership, encouragement, and heart for ministry. As many of you know, Rick also has a growing business and many ministry and family responsibilities. With the growth of both First Priority and his business, overseeing four counties became too much to manage well. This transition will allow Rick to continue serving faithfully and effectively in Laurel and Clay Counties while maintaining a healthy balance.
