Today was truly a special day filled with love, remembrance, hope, and community. Cumberland River Behavioral Health is incredibly grateful for the amazing turnout at our Overdose Awareness Event.

A heartfelt thank you to Beverly Vance Aikins for sharing her powerful message, Parkway Ministries Youth for their beautiful performance, Garry Conley and Operation Appalachia Strong, and all of our community partners and sponsors who came out to support, share resources, and stand beside us.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who joined us. We gathered to remember and honor the lives we’ve lost to overdose, while also reminding those in recovery that they are seen, valued, and never alone.

To every family who has lost someone, every person walking the road of recovery, and every person still struggling — you matter, your life matters, and there is always hope.

Thank you to the City of Corbin and everyone who helped make this day possible. Our hearts are truly grateful. ❤️

Tradition Two Recovery Community Center, in partnership with AppalReD Legal Aid, had the opportunity to assist 12 individuals with the expungement process today. Helping remove barriers and create new opportunities is an important part of building a brighter future. We are proud to be part of that journey.💙💚

Cumberland River Behavioral Health’s Team SOAR Outreach and Rivers Landing Outreach recently partnered at the Clay County Detention Center to connect with inmates and talk about the services and programs available throughout our community.

We also took the opportunity to listen—to hear directly from those we serve about the resources, support, and opportunities they would like to have access to when they return to the community.

PSS Ricky Adams and Troy Smith shared openly about their own struggles with mental health and the challenges they have overcome. Their willingness to share their experiences helped remind everyone that recovery is possible and that no one has to face their journey alone.

On Saturday, August 22nd, our team also partnered with Redemption Fellowship Church, community organizations, along with outpatient intake staff and a case manager, to provide food, resources, and support to individuals experiencing homelessness on Horse Creek in Manchester, KY.

We are grateful for the opportunity to build connections, listen to community needs, and provide support to individuals wherever they are in their journey. Together, we can help connect people with the resources they need and remind them that they are not alone. 💙
