Forgotten Felines is a trap-neuter-return program for local feral cats. The feral cats are trapped, altered, rabies vaccinated, given flea prevention, and treated for any known issues, as well as having their ear tipped for reference that they have been altered. Most cats will be returned back to the area they were caught if possible, or turned into a barn cat. If the cats are able to be homed they will then be put up for adoption.

Raise your hand if you think senior cats are just the best 🙌🙌🙌🙌

No kitten levels of destruction nor an awkward teenage phase await you with Sally. Sally is a senior domestic short hair with a beautiful black and white coat. She is fully vetted through Forgotten Felines. Sally has no teeth, so she will need to remain on a soft canned food diet.

She originally came to us as a TNR candidate and was scheduled to go to a barn home. While she was sedated for her spay, we discovered that her remaining teeth were in very poor condition and required extraction. Because of this, she cannot hunt and will not be a mouser, but she can still live comfortably in a barn or outdoor home if someone is willing to provide daily canned food and look after her.

Sally has never been an indoor cat, and although she does warm up to people with time, she does not tolerate being picked up. She uses the litter box, but she is nervous and needs a moment to settle.

Sally is a lovely senior girl, and she would also make a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a vintage feline. She came in with her kitten, who has since been adopted, and we would love to find her the best home possible.

If you can offer Sally a safe and caring home, please apply to foster or adopt her on our website: https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FFKY-A-4437

Update: Fitzgerald has been adopted! 🎉

Meet Fitzgerald! Now, we know what you’re thinking: “He doesn’t look very happy in those pictures” or maybe even “Fitzgerald looks spicy”.

Sure, Fitzgerald may look grouchy, we can’t argue with you there. But that’s just because he has the spirit of an old man who sits on the porch, complains about his neighbors, then softens up after the neighbors bring him a plate from their memorial day cook out.

Since he is a little people shy, he needs a family who’s willing to accept his boundaries and be patient with him. Fitzgerald would make a good mouser and could be an excellent working cat for someone who also wants a companion on his terms.

If you’re interested in Fitzgerald and want to know more about him, you can find his story on our website here: https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FFKY-A-4435

Chuckie and Michael are still looking for their furrever homes!

This iconic black cat duo has been with us since October of 2025. They’ve watched all of their siblings leave, leaving them wondering when it will be their turn.

Maybe they haven’t been adopted because black cats get a bad rep, but we can assure you that black cats bring good luck, not bad luck (IYKYK!)

Or maybe they haven’t been adopted yet because they’d both do better adopted together OR in a household with other cats. Double the trouble =‘s double the fun though so we can’t see the issue with that!

Chuckie and Michael really are sweet kittens, full of love and endless personality. They’re just a little awkward because they didn’t have much human contact before being rescued. Help us find someone who’s willing to give one (or both) of these brothers a chance by sharing and interacting with this post 🐈‍⬛

Chuckie and Michael are both 10 months old, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on their age appropriate vaccines. If interested, you can apply to foster or adopt on our website! ~ AB

With the weather warming up, we’re hoping Fitzgerald can find his furrever home!

Fitzgerald is a four year old fully vetted cat who has made an incredible recovery. He came to us in very poor condition after a workplace found him struggling and pooled their money to have him humanely euthanized because they believed he was too sick to save. Thankfully, we were able to step in, treat him, and give him the chance he deserved. He has healed beautifully and is now ready for a home.

Fitzgerald has clearly not been used to being handled during his life. He spent his time as a full time outdoor cat, and he can be unsure at first. With patience, he does warm up and has shown that he enjoys gentle attention. He loves a churu stick and, once he trusts you, he will happily curl up in a lap. Fitzgerald would make a good mouser and could be an excellent working cat for someone who also wants a companion on his terms.

While we normally prefer indoor placements, Fitzgerald has spent his entire life outdoors and would do well in a safe outdoor or barn home where he is cared for responsibly. He may also adjust to a quiet indoor or indoor and outdoor home over time with the right person.

Fitzgerald’s story means a lot to us because we have seen how far he has come. He is a handsome and resilient cat who deserves a kind and patient home where he can feel secure.

If you can offer Fitzgerald a safe and caring place to continue his journey, please reach out to us or apply to adopt him today ~ AB

Chuckie and Michael are the last two members of their litter left in our care. We aren't sure why. Maybe people believe that black cats bring bad luck, but honestly anybody would be lucky to have these boys in their lives!

Chuckie and Michael have grown up together in boarding. Due to this, they're not 100% used to living like kittens. They'll both need a little extra time to settle in and open up. But once they do, they both have their own loving and playful personalities!

We'd love to see Chuckie and Michael be adopted together since they seem to gain confidence from one another. However, we're also open to adopting them separately if needed.

If you're interested in adopting this iconic black cat duo (or even just one of them), please apply to adopt today! https://forgottenfelines40701.org/apply-to-adopt/
