Pollinator Camp Day 2 was all about butterflies!🦋

Campers learned about the plants butterflies pollinate, made seed balls filled with butterfly-friendly flower seeds, moved through the stages of metamorphosis, and released live painted lady butterflies into the garden—a favorite activity every year!
We wrapped up the morning with butterfly and bee bingo games. 🐝

Registration is still open for our July and August camps, but spots are filling quickly!

Pollinator Camp buzzed into action this week!🐝

Our campers had a wonderful first day:
-Hearing from beekeepers Deb and Barbie
-Learning the waggle dance (and all the jobs in the life of a worker bee)
-Discovering pollinators and their favorite flowers
-Hand pollinating a lily while learning the parts of a flower.🌸

So much is happening at Hope Grows in June! Our plants are blooming and so are events! Here's important event reminders for the next few weeks.

📍 This Friday, June 5
We'll be in Butler at Senator Elder Vogel's Senior Expo from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM. Stop by our booth to see Rose Marie and our undergraduate intern, Holly!

🍲 Grief Soup
Join us on Thursday, June 11 from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM at the Iris Respite House in Moon Township. Grief Soup will be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month moving forward and is FREE to attend.

☕🌸 Iris High Tea
We hope you can join us for our Iris High Tea at the Iris Respite House on:
• Sunday, June 14
• Saturday, June 20

Two seatings are available for each date. The cost is $40 per person, with the option to purchase raffle tickets and chocolate/floral bouquets. Special thanks to My Favorite Sweet Shoppe for the beautiful chocolate bouquets! 🍫💐

Can't attend in person? Tea To-Go is available, but pre-orders are required.
