MARCH ‘LEGION” MEETING:
MONDAY, March 9, 2026
NEW POST: 2421 James Street #26 Coralville. We have a LEGION sign on the door. This building is the first building WEST of the UPS facility in Coralville. (west of the Coralville Post Office on James Street.
LOOK for ‘BOOMER’, our .50 cal QUAD weapon that we moved FROM the Old Post to the front yard of the NEW POST!
MEETING STARTS AT: 1800hrs. (usually a 1 hour meeting ish)
ALL Legion members, all GUESTS of a Legion Member, SAL, RIDERS, etc, and ANY VETERAN desiring to JOIN or TRANSFER to Post 721. “We would love to have you join us!

Our next meeting will be held on January 12, 2026, at our new location, 2421 James Street, Unit 26, in Coralville at 6 PM. We’d love to see all members—both young and old—come together, not just the officers. Your input is vital in shaping our path forward, and we can’t do it without you! Bring your ideas and your enthusiasm to help make our new location a vibrant hub where fellowship and community service thrive!

Tonight, November 28, 2025, at 11:30 PM, we will close our doors for the final time. Since 1963. This bar has become a gathering place for Veterans, families, and friends. A home for stories. Celebrations and memories.

Together our bartenders have devoted 62 years of combined service behind this bar. We will always remember the laughter and tales told over a drink, weddings, birthdays, retirements. And yes, the funerals, where we honored lives well lived.

Our deepest thanks go first to the veterans of Post 721. Please know your service meant something to us, and we cherish every story you've shared. You gave this place its heart.

To our loyal customers. And wonderful friends- OH, the fun we've had! None of it would have been the same without you!
Though the lights will dim and the doors will close. The spirit of this place will live on in all of us. Thank you for being a part of our story!

Coralville American Legion will open at 10 am Friday Nov 28th for the 11 am Iowa-Nebraska game

We open at 2 today, are closed tomorrow, open Friday at 10am for 11:00 Hawkeye football game.
Band at 7pm until 10pm. The doors of the Hawk Lounge will close for the final time at 11:30 pm.

Wings tonight 5-7ish or when they are gone.

Drinks specials until the end.

We would love it if you’d come spend our last hours with us!

The Legion -BAR ONLY- final week!
Monday (24)and Tuesday (25)
Kitchen open 5-7 for burger or chicken strip baskets

Wed (26th) kitchen open 5-7 for WINGS SPECIAL !

We will be closed Thursday Nov 28 for Thanksgiving.

We will open Friday the 28th at 10am so we can watch the Hawkeyes play at 11.
We have a band that night:
War on Gravity from 7-10

The Bar will close at 11:30 that nighf for the final time.

Post 721 (minus the bar) will be at a new location-
2421 James St, Unit 26, Coralville
Meeting time will remain the same, second Monday of the month at 6
