Last week, our ChildServe – Iowa City team joined Johnson County Community Violence Intervention in wearing orange for Gun Violence Awareness Day. Organizations across Johnson County wore orange to honor the victims and survivors of gun violence and to symbolize our dedication to reducing gun violence in the community. 🧡

Happy first day of Bike Camp! 🚲

We're sending a WHEEL-Y big thank you to one of our sponsors, Scheels (Coralville, IA)! Thank you to our friends at Scheels for helping kids in our community kick off their summer with important riding and safety tips. Bike Camp is helping kids learn to pedal at their own pace, and we're grateful to our sponsors and volunteers who make this impactful week possible each year. Happy riding, campers! 💜

Do you love helping kids reach their goals through play? At ChildServe, our occupational therapy team does this every day! 💜

Our occupational therapists use play-based strategies tailored to each child’s unique goals, interests and abilities. Whether it’s building strength through climbing and playing in our therapy gym, improving fine motor skills with crafts, or practicing daily routines by grabbing a snack in the kitchen, every session is designed to help kids gain independence while having fun. Our ChildServe – Iowa City outpatient therapy clinic has full-time, part-time and PRN roles open.

We've got news to OINK about! 🐷

For the second year in a row, ChildServe is excited to sponsor the Muscatine County Fair Bacon Buddies® event on Thursday, July 16!

Bacon Buddies® is an inclusive event where individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (Buddies) team up with 4-H and FFA youth mentors to show pigs in the ring – a great way to build confidence, make connections and have some fun at the fair!

Our team recently hit the course as a foursome at The Iowa Children's Museum Open! ChildServe leaders Tracey Page, Mark Hargrafen, Sara Volz and Jay Winger had a fantastic time supporting an incredible organization and its mission to inspire children to imagine, create, discover and explore through the Power of Play. ⛳️
