Bolivar Perez is a long-time veteran participant in our FORE Freedom golf programs. Bolivar served in the Army Reserve, Puerto Rico National Guard, and with the Federal Aviation Administration. He retired from the military in 1992.

Bolivar’s golf goal of 2026 is to aim to shoot his age, an impressive 83. A big family milestone this year is his 60th wedding anniversary with his wife Millie Jimenez de Perez.

We are continuing our Beyond The Tee golf program at Super School, a non-profit special education school. 37 children with special needs participated during the last session. Coach Robert Ferzoco teaches the program along with the assistance of many of the Super School team members.

Super School’s primary goal is to assist students with varying disabilities reach their utmost potential in a supporting and nurturing environment.

Special thanks to Director Mrs. Caitlyn and Assistant Director/Lead Teacher Ms. Teena for their help in coordinating the program.

We have officially launch programming at Nob Hill Academy, with the Davie, Sunrise, and Sunset campuses participating!

The focus of our very first day was short game. Our Coaches introduced chipping and putting fundamentals, how to swing in a small and controlled manner, and develop confidence around the green. It is very fun to watch these students work on their team building skills, communication, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes.

We began our adult special needs golf program with Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation. This is the second year in a row we have taught these amazing adults with developmental disabilities. Coach Robert Ferzoco always has a great time teaching golf to the Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation participants.

Kuzari Richardson completed his first 8-week program at Palm-Aire Country Club. He recently participated in an art exhibit that premiered at the Annual Teen Art Exhibition at NSU Art Museum. The topic of the exhibition was Lost and Found.

Participants arrived ready to go, eager to find out which team they would be representing this season. Coaches carefully selected their teams, building rosters full of talent, potential, and great attitudes. Families and friends provided their support.

The 10th Annual Par 3 Corporate Challenge at Coral Ridge’s Rees Jones Par 3 Course brought together an outstanding group of corporate partners for an afternoon of competition, connection, and impact. Congratulations to Chris Burr and Steady Returns for once again claiming first place, continuing their impressive run. Participants had the unique opportunity to engage directly with First Tee Broward youth, who contributed shots during play, creating a memorable experience for all involved. Guests also heard powerful remarks from veterans Michelle Green and Ed Villegas from our FORE Freedom program, and enjoyed a special moment on Hole 7 with superstar coach Greg Mingo and his son, Greg Mingo Jr., representing our Beyond the Tee program. The third annual Rosie Pro-Am will be held this week at Floridian National and Old Marsh. The tournament is played in memory of our Honorary Board Member Tim Rosaforte.
