The building industry continues evolving alongside the tools and technology shaping how businesses operate every day.
As conversations around artificial intelligence become more common across industries, many professionals are looking for practical ways to better understand how these tools can support communication, organization, workflow efficiency, and business operations within construction and related fields.
GCBA’s upcoming PWB Shop Talk, “Let’s Talk: AI,” creates space for that conversation through an approachable and industry-focused discussion led by Frank R. Coppola, III. As founder of Coppola Brothers, Chair of the FCMB AI Boot Camp, FHBA Secretary 2026, and GCBA Past President, Frank has been actively engaging professionals across the industry in conversations around technology, education, and innovation.
Rather than focusing on trends alone, discussions like these help connect industry professionals to practical insights and shared experiences that can support long-term growth and adaptability in a changing landscape.
Programs like PWB Shop Talk also reflect the role organizations like GCBA continue playing beyond networking alone by creating opportunities for education, professional dialogue, and peer connection across the building community.

Permits and inspections are often seen as obstacles, but they play an important role in responsible construction.

A clear regulatory process helps support safety, accountability, transparency, and better project planning. When builders, trade partners, and project teams understand what is required, they are better prepared to reduce delays, avoid confusion, and keep work moving forward. According to the Federal Permitting Council’s recommended best practices, improving transparency, coordination, technology, and performance tracking can help make permitting processes more efficient and predictable.

GCBA continues to support education and industry awareness around the processes that help strengthen South Florida’s building community.

An evening like this reflects what makes the GCBA community special.

The Paint & Sip Evening, hosted by the GCBA Professional Women in Building Council, brought members and guests together for a relaxed night of creativity, conversation, and connection. Beyond the painting, it was an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, enjoy time with others in the industry, and continue building meaningful relationships within our community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so special.

We look forward to seeing you at the next GCBA event.
