I, Roger Williams M.S. Ed., am humbled that I continue to serve my alma mater these 23 years since I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology and Immunology. I began my employment, sophomore year as an undergraduate lab assistant under Mrs. Linette Aguiar- Scibelli and upon her career move recommended me (a fresh graduate) for her position under Dr. George Shaiberger, I learned a great deal from him and her. Funny to think that I started as an undergraduate work-study and was then hired on as a full-time employee to coordinate our MIC 301 lab, as a Program Assistant. I was then given the honor to work under Dr. Diana Lopez and during this time, I continue to work with her, and she has further developed me professionally as I now hold the position of Director, Student Activities. I believe that she, our faculty and I have helped to make the program stronger and have encouraged our students to pursue their dreams. As many of you all know, I wear many hats in our program and I feel that I define what our institution stands for. I ,and I hope you, are life long learners. UM has given me so much and I am grateful to be celebrating my 23rd anniversary with such a fine institution. If you have time, please share your experiences with us over the years and where you ened up on your journey. Thank you for reading the entirety of this post.
