National Football Players Fathers Assocation

National Football Players Fathers Assocation Bringing Fathers and Sons together to have an impact on the community

In May 2000, four fathers came together to discuss the possibility of forming an National Football League Fathers Organization. A follow-up meeting was held in Chicago during the month of July to further develop the idea and identify what would later become the mission and purpose of this organization of men. After agreeing on the mission and vision of the organization, the foundation had been es

tablished. It was determined that Chicago would be the home state of the newly formed National Football Players Fathers Association (NFPFA). The initial President of the Organization would be Samuel McNabb, the father of Donovan McNabb, who was at that time the Quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. Over the past few years a number of Fathers representing several NFL teams came together annually to have more discussions and dialogue about improving the purpose of this association. Our primary goal is to establish a fathers association that exemplifies good character, promote responsibility and commitment, with the idea in mind of working to help our sons maximize their potential both on and off the field

We have worked to secure a non-profit status to better serve our association and our son’s efforts to fulfill our community service commitment and address all of our short-term and long-term objectives and goals. Our immediate goal is to have at least one father from each team represented in the association each year.
