Today is World Kindness Day—a day to celebrate the power of compassion and the difference we can make together.

For our community, kindness means standing beside agents who need support, especially after a disaster.

🌟 When natural events disrupt lives, we come together as an industry, as a family, to help agents get back on their feet.

Your donations to LAAIA Response and Recovery directly aid those who need it most. Every bit of support counts—every dollar helps rebuild an agency, restores hope, and shows that no one has to face challenges alone. 🤝

If you’re in a position to give today, please consider supporting our mission. Let’s show just how powerful kindness can be.

🌍 Agents Helping Agents 🌍

When disaster strikes, it's not just homes and businesses at risk. Insurance agents—those who are there for us when we need them most—often face overwhelming challenges themselves.

LAAIA Response and Recovery is dedicated to helping these agents rebuild, recover, and return to supporting their communities. Every donation helps an agent get back on their feet so they can continue their vital work.

Join us in making a difference. Your support means agents can keep doing what they do best: protecting lives and livelihoods.

💙 Donate today and be part of a community that stands by its own.

In response to Hurricane Milton, Florida’s Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis has issued an emergency order allowing Customer Representatives to work remotely if under evacuation orders.

Additionally, deadlines for continuing education requirements due in October, November, and December 2024 have been extended by 60 days.

This ensures uninterrupted support for insured Floridians during this critical time.

Attention Insurance Agents: Protect Your Business Before, During, and After the Storm

As agents, you’re dedicated to helping your clients prepare, but don’t forget to protect your own business too. Here’s how you can stay ready:

Before the Storm:

• Back up all important data and client files to a secure, cloud-based system.
• Secure your office with storm shutters and sandbags if necessary.
• Review your own business insurance coverage.

During the Storm:

• Monitor the situation through local authorities and emergency alerts.
• Stay in contact with your team via a secure communication channel.
• Make sure your business-critical devices are charged and ready.

After the Storm:

• Assess damage to your office and document with photos.
• Communicate with clients about the status of your business.
• File any necessary insurance claims promptly and follow up on recovery steps.

Taking care of your business ensures you can continue to take care of your clients. Stay safe and be prepared.
