A new chapter for art and architecture on Miami Beach. 🏛️✨

has officially appointed the acclaimed Los Angeles-based architecture practice Johnston Marklee to lead its highly anticipated campus expansion in Collins Park.

This project marks the next step in a long-term vision that seamlessly integrates contemporary art, architecture, and landscape. Johnston Marklee's new design will build upon the museum's rich architectural history—from its original 1930s Russell Pancoast Art Deco design to the brilliant campus framework later introduced by Arata Isozaki. We can't wait to see how this dialogue between historic fabric and contemporary innovation comes to life!

The Magic City Innovation District is introducing a new cornerstone of urban productivity: Station M. Modeled after the world-renowned Station F in Paris, this twin-tower innovation hub is designed to be the "heartbeat" of Little Haiti’s evolving tech and creative corridor.

Spanning a 215,000-square-foot incubator and accelerator ecosystem, Station M is more than just office space—it’s a self-sustaining vertical campus. With over 500,000 SF dedicated to retail, dining, and creative suites, the project utilizes the "Station" concept to foster a high-density, collaborative environment.

Architectural Spotlight:

Concept: A "Transit-Oriented" masterplan integrated with the future commuter rail.

Impact: A projected $5 billion in business activity for the district over the next decade.

Design Philosophy: Cross-functional spaces where live, work, and play intersect.

Happy Birthday to the Architect of South Beach: Henry Hohauser 🎂📐

Today, we celebrate the 131st birthday of a true Miami visionary. Born in New York City in 1895, Henry Hohauser’s journey to architectural legend was anything but a straight line.

From escaping his father’s plumbing business to striking out on his own after being underpaid at a cousin’s firm, Henry was a man defined by his independence. In 1932, he and his wife, Grace, moved to Miami for her health—a move that would change our skyline forever. Despite never formally finishing his degree at Pratt Institute, Hohauser went on to design over 300 buildings, including the iconic Essex House Hotel.

He proved that architecture isn't just about the pedigree; it’s about the passion to create beauty for the everyday person. Join us in raising a glass to the man who gave Miami Beach its "Streamline" soul! 🥂🏝️.
