This Saturday, 9 volunteers (and two dogs) came out to the August Community Work Party! We worked on Hollerback trail, digging out grade reversals to increase flow and support proper drainage. After digging, we celebrated with donuts, cold drinks, and a ride. Stay tuned for upcoming volunteer events throughout the fall!

This was the final week for our Alternative Youth Activities crew! AYA gives young adults the chance to gain valuable work experience while also giving back to the community. These guys were dependable and maintained great attitudes as they took on most of the brushing needs for Wh***ey Run this summer.

Hi all - we're excited to share this update with you all! Coos County Commissioners and Forestry have decided, after many years, to LOOSEN restrictions on eBikes on county forests (notably Wh***ey Run & Wi******er Trails), including DURING fire season.

We see this as a very positive shift in stance towards eBikes and biking on county forests in general, and we commend the county's actions here, as we have been advocating for these changes to eBike restrictions for many years.

Hollerback is BACK! The section of Hollerback from Well Shot to the parking lot has been very quickly reopened by Coos County Forestry.

Thank you to Lance, Cole, Lindsy, and their entire crew for the quick work here! We didn't expect this at all.

More work will likely be done on the trail coming in the fall to improve - but it's ready for some tires to hit it and pack it in!!
