We’re planning a special conversation about the second phase of Worthy Voices and how you can help!

There’s no one exact or “right” way to serve, and there are plenty of ways to help elevate our mission.

We’re looking for volunteers, advisory committee members, board members, and passionate individuals who believe in the work we’re building together.

Happy Month of June!

Let’s kick things off with recognition and awareness for Men and their health.

This means physical health.

Encourage a male, whom you love, to take a pause and check his body for signs of needing care.

Remind him that this is what strengthens him.

This mean mental health as well.

Mental health and mental illness are two separate matters. Neither are anything to be ashamed about. But this is not always known.

Remind him and our youth looking up to him that their mental state is worthy to be supported!

Share resources. Support them by helping them call to make an appointment for professional assistance. Lend a listening ear, not always to respond or problem solve; reflectively listening, ask if that is what they need.

Lastly this means relational health.

Far too many times men are unaware and miseducated about the causes of violence.

Understanding of one’s core beliefs and values is what shape a person’s choices. Distorted, unhealthy beliefs and values can lead to choosing violence in relationships. New understanding can help someone to decide to show up differently and without violence within their relationships with partners and children.

🎉 Today marks 1 YEAR of Worthy Voices! 🎉

Founded on May 21, 2025, Worthy Voices was created to help build safer, healthier, and more empowered communities through culturally grounded intervention, education, advocacy, and healing-centered services.

In just one year, together we have:
✔ Served 20+ clients
✔ Launched active BIPP groups in Travis County
✔ Begun serving Bell County participants
✔ Conducted 18 outreach events and 30+ outreach hours
✔ Hosted our official community launch celebration
✔ Raised $4,000+ in financial and in-kind support
✔ Joined the Central Texas Domestic Violence Task Force
✔ Expanded partnerships and community collaborations across Central Texas

We are grateful for every supporter, donor, partner, volunteer, board member, and community advocate who has helped make this first year possible.

This is only the beginning.
