Unity Fastpitch-Mickey 12U Triumphs Over Clubhouse Stix 12u-Farias In Late-Game Victory

Unity Fastpitch-Mickey 12U defeated Clubhouse Stix 12u-Farias 7-6 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at six in the top of the second when Autumn M doubled, scoring one run.
Unity Fastpitch-Mickey 12U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Sophia R walked, Caelyn M singled to the left side of the infield, and Unity Fastpitch-Mickey 12U scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.
Clubhouse Stix 12u-Farias flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring six runs on eight hits to take the lead, 6-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Marron J that drove in two.
Unity Fastpitch-Mickey 12U captured the lead, 7-6, in the top of the second after Emily R grounded out, Sophia singled to the left side of the infield, Caelyn singled down the left field line, and Autumn doubled to center field, each scoring one run.
Autumn began the game for Unity Fastpitch-Mickey 12U. The righty gave up eight hits and six runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out none and walking one. Kensington B began the game for Clubhouse Stix 12u-Farias. The pitcher allowed eight hits and seven runs over two innings, striking out three and walking three. Allie M tossed one and one-third innings of shutout ball for Unity Fastpitch-Mickey 12U in relief. The reliever gave up zero hits, striking out three and walking none.
Unity Fastpitch-Mickey 12U amassed eight hits in the game. Caelyn and Autumn were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Unity Fastpitch-Mickey 12U while hitting back-to-back. Caelyn drove the middle of the lineup, leading Unity Fastpitch-Mickey 12U with two runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-2 on the day. Caelyn stole two bases.
Clubhouse Stix 12u-Farias tallied eight hits in the game. June S, Mckinley W, Kennedy K, Peyton G, Rachel E, Kelsey R, Ruby S, and Marron each collected one hit for Clubhouse Stix 12u-Farias. Peyton and Marron each drove in two runs for Clubhouse Stix 12u-Farias. Clubhouse Stix 12u-Farias were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kensington had the most chances in the field with one.
