From the Kids' Fishing Derby and Team Summit Pancake Breakfast to the Main Street Parade and free live music from Frisco Funk Collective and The Motet, Frisco's Fabulous Fourth of July is one of Summit County's favorite summer traditions.

What should you bring on every mountain bike ride?

We asked Team Summit MTB Director Tyler Zipperer what never leaves his pack, whether he's heading out for a quick trail ride or racing the Firecracker 50.

His essentials include:
• Phone
• Multi-tool
• Spare tube
• Tire plugs
• Mini pump or CO₂
• Lightweight layer
• Sunscreen
• First aid supplies
• Plenty of hydration and snacks

His biggest advice? Fuel early, stay on top of hydration, and don't underestimate the power of positive self-talk when the ride gets tough.

And the one non-negotiable item?

Homemade Rice Crispy Bars.
