What a great evening at our Silverthorne Elementary Bike Rodeo & Skills Night!

A huge thank you to Tyler and Katy from Silverthorne Elementary for helping make this free community event possible. It was awesome to see so many kids out riding, learning, and having fun on their bikes.

We’d also like to recognize our amazing Team Summit athletes and coaches who volunteered their time to help the next generation of riders: Steve, Finn, Ryan, Thomas, Elliot, Lucy, Jack, Charlie, and Easton.

Throughout the evening, riders practiced:
✅ Road safety skills
✅ Bike handling and balance drills
✅ Chicken pickup challenges
✅ Singletrack riding on the trails behind the school

Most importantly, there were big smiles all around.

When our community comes together amazing things happen. Events like these help build confidence, create connections, and inspire the next generation to get outside and ride. 🤙

🚲 BIKE RODEO at Silverthorne Elementary🚲

Join us for a FREE after-school Bike Rodeo at Silverthorne Elementary on Thursday, May 28th from 4–6pm!

Kids will learn:
✅ Bike safety & safe road riding skills
✅ Braking, balance, and cornering
✅ Awareness on roads, paths, and trails
✅ Fun bike games and riding skills

Riders will rotate through 3 interactive skill stations led by Team Summit coaches and junior riders, then finish the evening with free riding, bike games, and fun on the singletrack!

Programs for grades 2–12. All abilities welcome 👇

• Intro to MTB (Rising 2nd–5th Grade)

Every order helps support the Team Summit Youth MTB Program this upcoming season. Funds raised will go toward scholarships, a new bike rack, and new skills features like a jump ramp and skinny log. Help us reach our $2,500 goal and get more kids on bikes!

Our first pickup is scheduled for Sunday, May 17 from 8:00–9:30 AM at Mountain Dweller Coffee Roasters. Shipping is also available.

Hey everyone — my name is Tyler Zipperer and I’m a father of two, husband, BICP Level 2 Skills Instructor, and Director of the Team Summit Youth MTB Program here in Summit County.

I just wanted to introduce our Team Summit Summer MTB Programs and Camps for youth riders in grades 2–12.

Over the past 5 years, it’s been incredibly rewarding helping mentor young athletes, watching them grow, build friendships, challenge themselves, and develop skills both on and off the bike.

What started as a small program has grown into an amazing community of riders, coaches, and families who simply love riding bikes together.

This summer we’re offering:
• Intro to Team Summit MTB (Rising 2nd–4th Grade)
• Junior Devo (Rising 3rd–5th Grade)
• Devo Trail (Rising 6th–12th Grade)
• Devo Endurance (Rising 8th–12th Grade)
• Gravity Devo (Ages 10–15)
• Summer Adventure Bike Camps (Rising 6th–10th Grade)

Summer programs begin the week of June 8th and run through August 6th. Registration deadline is June 2nd, and a few programs are already starting to fill up.

Sooooo good we brought our Summer Adventure Bike Camps back for the 2026 season!

These 5-day camps are for rising 6th - 10th-grade intermediate riders who are excited to build their skills, explore new trails, and spend an adventurous week on the bike.

Each day blends fun trail riding with skills sessions, shuttle days, bike maintenance tips, nutrition education, and trail stewardship projects.

Riders will be placed into two riding groups based on age, skill level, and fitness to ensure everyone has a great experience.

Camp Dates:
📅 June 15–19
📅 July 13–17
📅 July 27–31

Each camp runs Monday - Friday from 9am - 3pm each day. Only 15 spots per camp!

If your rider is ready to build confidence, improve skills, and have an awesome week on the bike with a great group—this is it.
