WE ARE THE YELLOW DOT
Everyone is saying it. This storm came faster than most and we are right smack dab in the middle. In addition to taking care of our dogs/cats, we are also preparing for the aftermath (as we did during Hurricane Ida) taking in displaced families and their pets.
In order for VRC to survive (financially) I have to network every single day using social media, email newsletters, etc, to bring in donations-on a daily basis. This is what it takes to keep our doors open. This week has been a bust, putting hurricane prep first.
Being responsible for hundreds of animals and almost a hundred people (employees and their families), the weight on my shoulders has gotten extremely heavy.
