The Cooter Volunteer Fire Department would like to give a BIG shout-out and heartfelt THANK YOU to Lowe’s for generously donating a Midea 17 cu. ft. upright freezer to our department! ❄️🔥

This freezer is going to be a HUGE help with our fundraisers! From storing Boston butts to keeping everything we need for future fundraising events, this donation will definitely be put to good use! 🐷🍖

We are so thankful to have businesses like Lowe’s that continue to support our department and our community. Your generosity helps make our fundraisers possible and allows us to continue raising money to better serve the people in our community. 🚒❤️

ATTENTION ALL PEMISCOT COUNTY

🇺🇸 PLEASE JOIN US AS WE REMEMBER 9/11 🇺🇸

The Cooter Volunteer Fire Department would like to invite all of Pemiscot County to come together on September 11, 2026, as we honor and remember the heroes and lives lost on September 11, 2001.

🚒 Fire Departments
🚓 Law Enforcement
🎧 911 Dispatchers
🚑 EMS & First Responders
🇺🇸 Service Members & Veterans
❤️ AND THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY

📍 Cooter School Track
🕔 Memorial Walk begins at 5:00 PM

We will complete a 3-mile 9/11 Memorial Walk around the track. You DO NOT have to be a first responder or service member to participate. We want our families, friends, neighbors, and community members to come out and simply walk with us. ❤️🤍💙

🙏 Prayer & Moment of Silence — 6:30 PM

Following the walk, everyone is invited to the Cooter Fire Department for:

🍔 Burgers
🌭 Hot Dogs
🥤 Drinks
🤝 Fellowship

Food will be served at 6:30 PM. At the Fire Station!!

There is no race and no competition—just one community coming together for one purpose: to remember.

The tornado sirens work as they should on the new system from Pemiscot County activation system through there E911 system.

Don’t be alarmed the Pemiscot County Sheriff’s Office E911 system will be testing the tornado sirens at Noon today. Again this will only be a test on there new system!
