Thank You Broncos!
The 2024 youth football season was a tremendous success all around. 140 young men learned to work as a team, overcoming both physical and mental challenges.
This incredible season would not have been possible without the dedication of so many individuals who poured their time and energy into this program:
• Superintendent Matt Spencer consistently emphasizes the positive impact of extracurricular activities on CAPS youth. His and the district’s support is deeply felt and appreciated.
• Varsity Head Coach Ed Kaman has fostered a top-down approach to developing our program. His leadership and involvement at every level are recognized by all.
• 35 coaches led 7 different teams through countless hours in the heat, cold, and rain, sacrificing evenings to game-plan. Their dedication makes this program possible and ensures they have a lasting positive impact.
• Game day managers Todd VanHouten and Larry Longstreth consistently demonstrate why our venue is the league’s favorite. Every Saturday runs smoothly, professionally, and on time, with visiting teams praising their exceptional organization.
• High school football players play a crucial role, whether helping at practices, officiating, operating the scoreboard, running the chain gang, or announcing. They contribute significantly to the culture of Bronco football.
• Professional officiating crews certified by the MHSAA ensure fair and well-run games each Saturday. We greatly value their expertise.
• Concessions champion Stacey Longstreth and her dedicated volunteers make game days enjoyable while supporting our key fundraising efforts. Their collaboration with athletic boosters makes everything run smoothly.
• Tony and Sarah Longo stepped up to handle countless essential tasks, and their extra efforts at the start of the season are deeply appreciated.
• Raap Signs and Molly Raap once again supported the program by donating helmet decals, helping with our fundraising efforts. Thank you for your generosity.
• The CAPS athletic department, led by Travis Nichol and Beth Rahrig, is always ready to support the program whenever needed.
• Josh Meerman made a tremendous impact in his first year with the program. His hands-on involvement and preparation to lead us into the future give us great confidence and excitement for what’s ahead.
To everyone who contributed—too many to list here—we thank you.
Finally, to our parents: Your unwavering support drives the success of this program. We are incredibly proud to have you all as part of this journey.
As we close the book on the 2024 youth football season, planning is already in motion for 2025! We look forward to building on this year’s success and making next season even better.
Thank you all! 👊💪❤️ 🫵🐎
