What a day on Main Street! The Main Street Block Party takes several dozen volunteers and hundreds of hours of planning and hard work to bring to life each year, and we are incredibly blessed to have a community that always steps up to help.
We especially want to give a huge thank you to the C**n Rapids, IA Fire Department . Nearly every firefighter was downtown early Sunday and Monday morning helping set up the event, hauling tables, fencing, and supplies. Quite simply, we could not do this event without these strong and dedicated men.
This year, they surprised us with an extra special touch — a giant American flag proudly flying at the end of Main Street. It was a beautiful tribute to our service men and women during Memorial Day weekend and created a truly unforgettable scene downtown.
A special thank you as well to Rob Barker and Jacob Nielson for purchasing the flag and helping make this meaningful addition possible.
