When a fire tore through their neighborhood in Peru, Marisol* and her family lost everything. Their home was reduced to ashes while she was volunteering as a cook at the local community kitchen and her husband was out driving his mototaxi.

In the days that followed the fire, MannaPack® meals arrived to help meet the family’s most immediate need: food. “I feel so blessed that you have given me this gift of MannaPack,” Marisol said. “We have eaten it before at the community kitchen, and I know how it will meet the nutritional needs of my children.”

These meals — made possible by donors and packed by volunteers — brought relief, dignity and hope at a time of overwhelming loss. “Thank you so much for caring about my family,” Marisol said. “God bless you.”

Meet the Chin family, our dedicated super volunteers who pack at FMSC Libertyville on a monthly basis. This summer, they participated (and completed!) in the Summer Hunger Challenge.

As part of the challenge, they decided to run a lemonade stand — which raised funds for an additional 227 MannaPack meals on top of their packing efforts!

When requests for more than 3.8 million additional meals came for Venezuela in the wake of a disastrous earthquake, FMSC was ready:

✔️Volunteers packed them.
✔️Partners were ready to reach Venezuelan families.

Yesterday, Michael King, Freddy Fermin, Jake Cronenworth, Jason Adam, Jase Bowen and Jefry Yan joined MLBPA staff to pack meals with Feed My Starving Children. Together, we packed more than 7,000 meals, which will be distributed to partners around the world who feed communities in need.

"In April, I visited our community-led program in Te Wouj, Haiti. Community members gathered under a tent to celebrate what reliable food has made possible in one of the most food-insecure places on Earth.

That day, I met Sister Noelle. She lost her sight years ago, but recognized the food immediately.

'The smell of FMSC food is unlike any other,' she said. 'It is the smell of hope.'

The food that you provide is hope for so many.
