I have lived in Coolidge, Arizona all my life except for 3 years in the U. S. Army. I served in Vietnam in ‘71-’72 & got out of the Army in ‘73. I then farmed in Pinal County Arizona for 44 years growing Cotton, Grain, Corn, Alfalfa & Fresh Produce. I was forced to retire in 2018 due to the symptoms & diseases from my Agent Orange Exposures in Vietnam. I began sending FREE Troop Care Packages filled with Gillespie Farms Owhead Rations to my son & another local Warrior during their 2011-2012 deployment to Afghanistan. After they came home I was asked by other deployed Warriors for my Snack Mix filled Troop Packs & so began my Troop Pack Mission! In the summer of 2018 I started up the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, GFORC Inc. whose purpose is to send Free Troop Care Packages filled with Gillespie Farms Owlhead Rations to Deployed Troopers, Chaplains & sick or injured Veterans. These are the best damn Mission Snacks you can find according to the Troopers who have received them.
As of 2/22/2019: 16,874 FREE bags of GFORC Snack Mixes sent Downrange!
I want to share an email I received from one of my Deployed Troopers in Afghanistan, 8/17. I have nothing but Love & Respect for all are our Troops. "Good morning Mark, I wanted to reach out to you and let you know how much we appreciate your packages here at the HKIA Role 2 Hospital in Afghanistan. Personally they are my favorite items I received since I've been here. I am a fan of the whole wheat fruit bars and will dig into the tortilla chips soon. Besides being really good I like the family farm, wholesome, and healty options that you have. I look forward to stocking my shelves when I get home with your products and sharing them with my family.”
This note is from another deployed Trooper in Afghanistan that I received, 9/15. “I got the package you sent out the beginning of this month. I am totally addicted to the fig bar and granola varieties! That should be the last package I need over here as I should be heading back early sometime next month. I just wanted to thank you again for all of the support you sent us over here during this rotation. It was always a pick up to get a box and see that some of America is still aware and supporting in anyway they can. We all sincerely appreciate it out here and are looking forward to getting back. Right now still doing the same ole and staying focused these last few weeks until we hand it over to the next crew. Have a great week Mark."
