MakerFest Saturday night just got louder. We’re excited to announce that Blackwood, a high-energy hard rock band from Nashville, TN, is joining our Saturday night music lineup. MakerFest is already packed with vendors, food, demos, races, repair clinic activities, and creative chaos, but Saturday night is getting a serious shot of rock energy. Come spend the day at the Old Putnam County Fairgrounds, then stick around as Blackwood helps bring Saturday night home the right way. July 18–19 at MakerFest 2026.

We're bringing an amazing 2-Day event to the old Fairgrounds (the one off Jefferson) and we're looking for some local food-making folks to take part. If you sell food in a truck, out of a cart, a pop-up tent, or anything else, we'd love to have you bring your culinary creations to MakerFest!

More info is available on the event page on our website here (https://ucmakerspace.org/makerfest) or you can go directly to the vendor application here (https://forms.gle/T2BKctsvUxszHdeY8

One week left for early bird vendor spots! MakerFest is July 18–19 at the Old Putnam County Fairgrounds, and we’re filling the vendor market with the kind of people who make the Upper Cumberland interesting. Handmade goods, food, art, woodworking, apothecary, apparel, 3D printing, baked goods, leatherwork, jewelry, homestead goods, oddball inventions, and whatever else you’ve been making in your garage. Early bird vendor spots end June 1.

MakerFest is a two-day celebration of the wildly creative, wonderfully useful, slightly weird, and completely awesome things people make right here in the Upper Cumberland. MakerFest is bringing the Motor Show into the mix. Cars, bikes, builds, paint, personality, and the kind of vehicles people slow down to look at even when they’re pretending not to. We're not doing the typical classification by car, truck or bike, instead we're organizing it all by vehicle color, which means the fairgrounds will basically turn into a rolling rainbow of chrome, horsepower, and owner pride. Plus, the pictures will be amazing! Get your ride pre-registered for the show by visiting the event page on our website.

We also still need vendors of all kinds and we're looking for sponsors as well. If you're interested all the info is below:

Want to promote your business to a big, creative, community-loving crowd? MakerFest sponsorships are open, and we need our local businesses to help bring something big, useful, fun, and desperately needed to the Upper Cumberland. Sponsoring MakerFest benefits UC Makerspace and Imagine Foundry - two 501 (c) (3) nonprofits that build creative, educational, entrepreneurial, and hands-on spaces for our region. Want your logo, name, or business linked to the festival? Check out our sponsorship page on the website or give us a shout; we'd love to talk. If you do, I'll send you our MakerFest Sponsor Packet... it's a comic book... 😁

CALLING ALL VENDORS - EARLY BIRDS END JUN 1

If you want to join MakerFest but lack a food truck, trailer, or booth setup. Approved vendors have access to the concession stands at the Old Putnam County Fairgrounds, including 12 large concession stands and 2 smaller, drink-shop-sized stands. That means you still can serve your amazing goodies at MakerFest without bringing an entire setup. It works well for bakers, snack vendors, lemonade stands, drink vendors, small food concepts, pop-up food businesses, and anyone who wants to feed a crowd but isn't quite ready for the tent and equipment yet. All potential vendors can fill out the Vendor Application here (https://forms.gle/79nDk1vFSuXs1GP76)

If you make it, build it, paint it, sew it, pour it, carve it, 3D print it, thrift it, restore it, package it, or somehow turn raw materials into something amazing, MakerFest wants you. We’re looking for goods vendors for MakerFest 2026, happening July 18-19 at the Old Putnam County Fairgrounds in Cookeville.

Handmade goods, art, crafts, vintage, boutique items, local products, home decor, jewelry, woodworking, pottery, candles, apparel, oddities, 3D printed stuff, lasered stuff, useful things, pretty things, unnecessary things that are still absolutely necessary, all of it. (I made a big list for the algorithm...lol) Vendors can load in Friday, and approved vendors are invited to the VIP/Vendor/Sponsor Mixer Friday night.

Come show the Upper Cumberland what you make.
