Through a research-based, multicultural curriculum, the program aims to empower children and their families with five essential components: high-quality literacy and character-building enrichment; parent and family involvement; civic engagement and social action; intergenerational servant leadership development; and nutrition, health, and mental health. The curriculum focuses on a different topic
each week—self, family, community, nation, world, and education/action. This range of student-centered activities and culturally responsive pedagogy ensures that all children are actively engaged, regardless of experiences, talents, reading levels, verbal abilities, language, race, or economic status.
