If you’ve received an IRMAA (Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount) notice and recently retired, reduced your work hours, lost a spouse, or experienced another qualifying life-changing event, you may be able to request a new IRMAA determination.

Fall Open Enrollment is just around the corner. By September 30, Medicare Advantage and Part D plans should send members an Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) and an Evidence of Coverage (EOC).

These documents explain important changes to costs, provider networks, and prescription drug coverage for the upcoming plan year. Understanding these notices can help people with Medicare make informed coverage decisions during Open Enrollment.

**Be careful with unexpected texts, calls, or emails asking for your medical information. These may be scams trying to steal your information.
**Always check if the message is real by logging into your health insurance account through a link you trust or by contacting them directly.
**Remember, Medicare and Social Security will never ask for your personal details like your Medicare number or Social Security number in unsolicited messages.

If you believe someone has stolen your medical information and is using it, contact your Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP). SMPs empower and assist Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers in preventing, detecting, and reporting Medicare fraud, errors, and abuse.
