⭐️Mr. Elijah preached a great word today!⭐️
Yesterday, I baptized my stepdaughters future husband at the creek. It took me back to the simple things that mean so much. Rather than always looking for the big revelations, sometimes we need to go back to the basic of what really matters.
We took communion yesterday. I was holding the juice and cracker in my hand. I was looking at it and thinking about that being Jesus’ body and blood. That is also my story. That is what God sees when he looks at me. It is to be in communion. In relationship with God. It is who God has called me to be. Paul tells us to look at Jesus first and then he tells us to look at ourselves. Some times that is hard. It’s hard to look at me. We know that there is no condemnation but in that moment it’s hard because when I look at myself I know that I don’t deserve it. His body was broken for me. Because of what was in my hand, I am worthy. I am whole. I am holy. That was his plan the entire time. Even as a sinner, he does for me. His blood made a way flow me.
Upon salvation you get all of the Holy Spirit that we will ever get. We can’t get more of him, we need to give him more of us. The Holy Spirit fire will consume. Give him something to consume. If you want to keep the fires going, keep feeding it. Addiction got burned up when you got here. What will you keep putting in your altar to burn?
Your salvation is a gift. When you were saved Heaven rejoiced . We are three bride of Christ. That is as binding as it gets. Think about what that means. That is commitment on your part. You have made a commitment to Christ. When you become his bride, you have to give him access to everything. If you don’t bring everything to Jesus, you are robbing yourself of a full relationship with him. He’s already knows, but there is something about saying it to him out loud.
Baptism is an outward expression. You are getting into a watery grave. You are stepping into the water and dying to yourself. It doesn’t get any cooler than that. Jesus was baptized , so we follow him. As baptisms are approaching. Think about what that really means. Don’t just get numb to what it really means. Yesterday, I got to baptize someone. Someone special to my stepdaughter. It touched my heart and made me think of you all. The creator of the universe wants to have a relationship with him. A relationship with you. That is a big deal. It’s beautiful. Think about what that really means. It’s easy to think that it’s just the Christian life, bout think about what our salvation, baptism, and communion really costs. Let’s not become mundane. Miracles are not mundane.
