A new service project that our club took on this spring was to pick up trash at public boat landings. To date we’ve picked up trash at all Pelican Lake landings and 9 landings on Lake Vermilion with more planned in the near future.

Leo Alex spent the afternoon sorting and counting glasses collected by the Cook MN Lions Club and Babbitt Lions Club over the past several months. A total of 696 pairs of glasses will be heading to the Minnesota Lions Vision Foundation collection center where they will be cleaned, marked for prescription, and distributed to Lions vision mission trips around the world.

Please keep an eye out for Lions eyeglass donation boxes in the Cook and Tower area.
