Angela Sims-Winfrey, the Community Empowerment Director/Lead Consultant/Coach of Divine Empowerment Leadership and Family Development Institute, Inc. is a native New Orleanian, who is currently residing in Georgia, and the mother of two awesome adults children, Brandon and Malaikia-Monique aka Lake. She completed her BS in Psychology/Life Coaching, MA in Pastoral Counseling/Leadership and MA in Executive Leadership./Business Management & Leadership; and completing a Grad Certificate in Educational Technology and Online Instruction. She is a Professional Life, Leadership, Executive, Certified Dialogue Educator Practitioner, and Synchronous and Asynchonous Curriculum and Learning Designer, Developer and Facilitator. As a servant leader, Angela has shared her divine works over 30 years nationally and internationally as a community organizer, antiracist trainer, organizational developer, social justice activist, positive psychologist, spiritual formation counselor/life and wellness coach, racial justice, equity, cultural diversity, and leadership development training, facilitator, evidence-based organizational consultancy, and coaching. In her inaugural book, “Livin’ Out of Boxes, Lettin’ Go of Bags: A Spiritual Journey of Divine Empowerment”, Angela shares a healing and reflective journey of how she was able to “push pass her growing edges” and rise above the changes and challenges in her life in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, through real-time lessons of Faith in Action.
