A safe place to live can change a family’s present. A pathway to independence can change their future.
At Phoenix Pass, we have the honor of watching courageous mothers turn difficult chapters into powerful new beginnings. They arrive carrying the weight of homelessness and uncertainty but they also arrive with determination, hope, and a deep desire to create something better for their children.
Our families are not simply given a place to stay. Over the course of up to two years, they commit themselves to the hard work of rebuilding their lives. They maintain employment, participate in case management and life-skills classes, learn to budget, save money, repair their credit, and strengthen the confidence they need to move forward independently.
Their children are given something equally important: the comfort of knowing where they will sleep each night, the stability of a consistent home, and the opportunity to simply be children.
Then comes the day we have all been working toward, a mother leaves Phoenix Pass prepared to provide a home of her own. She leaves with savings, improved credit, stronger life skills, renewed confidence, and the belief that her family’s future can be different.
