Due to inclement weather in the forecast, the Kiwanis Annual Books for Kids Golf Tournament, scheduled for tomorrow 6/8, has been postponed.

We are currently working to secure a new date and will announce it later this week. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing everyone on the course soon in support of this wonderful cause.

Today, our guest speaker was Mr.Bob Nesbitt, who spoke with us about Rockdale County's upcoming Juneteeth Celebration and parade.

The event is an opportunity for the community to not focus on our differences, but what we all have in common and celebrate together as one community.

On Monday, June 8th, community leaders, business owners, golfers, and supporters will gather at Ashton Hills Golf Club for a day of fun, networking, and impact; all in support of helping local children become lifelong readers and strong leaders.

Today, our special guest speaker was Mr. Norris Henry of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. Mr. Henry is an accountant and serves as the Treasurer for the YMCA Fatherhood Initiative. He has been with the YMCA for 13 years and shared his inspiring journey to Atlanta, along with his passion for community service. In addition to his professional and community work, he is also a children’s book author who has published three children’s books.
