Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Stephanie Johnson, Superintendent of Rockdale County Public Schools, as our guest speaker.

Dr. Johnson brings a wealth of experience working within public school systems and shared insights into her proposed 90-day plan, the 4D Launch for Excellence.

The plan focuses on four key stages:

Discover — Listen, learn, and understand the current landscape.
Diagnose — Identify root causes and areas of opportunity.
Design — Develop a strategic plan for meaningful improvement.
Deliver — Put the plan into action and drive results.

We appreciate Dr. Johnson for sharing her vision, leadership, and commitment to excellence in education.

🎉 Congratulations to our very own Rogers F. Gotier II on his second term as Lieutenant Governor of Division 18!

Rogers leads with purpose, builds strong relationships, and keeps service to children at the center of the work. The confidence placed in him for another term is well deserved. 💙💛

We look forward to his continued leadership alongside newly elected Georgia District Governor Ed Searcy. Also pictured is Past Georgia District Governor John Holley, whose years of service remain part of the strong legacy of Georgia Kiwanis.

Today, the Kiwanis Club of Conyers was honored to welcome Mrs. Amy Weems, Director of Creative Partnerships for the Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts (MWCA).

Amy shared her inspiring personal journey of faith, healing, and purpose. After the tragic loss of her mother and other life-changing events, she found strength in God and discovered her passion for art. That passion led her to launch her own art business, Prayers Behind the Paint, using creativity to encourage and inspire others.

Amy also introduced us to the Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts, Walton County's only nonprofit community art center. MWCA provides free creative gatherings, art classes, rotating gallery exhibits, summer camps, and after-school programs. They also assemble and distribute healing art kits to bring comfort and hope to individuals and families during difficult times.

Thank you, Amy, for sharing your remarkable story and for the incredible impact you and MWCA are making in our community through the power of art.

Today, we were excited to welcome our special guest, Ms. Vanessa, our incoming Key Club President! Rockdale Career Academy Key Club

She shared her vision for the upcoming school year, including service projects, fundraising ideas, member incentives, and engaging activities to encourage participation.

Vanessa also presented her social media marketing strategy, discussed opportunities to collaborate with other clubs on larger events, and shared her goals for a successful and impactful year. We look forward to supporting her leadership and seeing all that our Key Club will accomplish!
