Honey Creek Elementary
Mr. Wynn has taught elementary music for three years and has taught for a total of 22 years. "Iโm entering my Jordan year (23)!" he said.
In his spare time, he enjoys writing thoughtful Gospel rap lyrics and producing instrumental music tracks. He serves in the community by "engaging with a metro Atlanta youth band organization through early prep band lessons late afternoons on Mondays and some Wednesdays during the school year and helped occasionally during the Summer for rhythm enrichment to elementary, middle and high school students enrolled in the program."
He and his wife have been happily married 20 years as of July. "We have seven wonderful children: Five girls and two boys ranging from 4 to 26 years of age, in which the oldest just married in April. All of us share the same initials: M.R.W."
After teaching band at the middle and high school level, he said elementary school music has its own set of unique experiences. "Having the pleasure of co-preparing a group of drama/chorus students for Winter and Spring musicals is great but the icing on the cake is hearing the voices of the whole school population join together in joyful song after the chorus/drama performance. To me, that was one of the warmest, heartfelt moments of appreciation and gratitude Iโve ever experienced as a music educator."
